How To Save Your Wet Laptop
Oh no! You’ve just spilled something on your laptop. Whether you put your glass down too close and the cat knocked over your drink onto your laptop, or your “friend” poured his beer into it by accident, you may be frantically reading this article on your phone trying to figure out how to save your valuable laptop from the liquid you or your friend just spilled on it!It’s important to know that time is of the essence once your laptop is wet. Turn it off as soon as possible, unplug it, and remove the battery at once. You don’t even have to take the proper steps to shut down your laptop either, quickly as possible, press that power button until your machine shuts down. Next, follow these steps:
- Do not try to turn your laptop back on no matter what!
- Remove all components that are easily detachable – Unplug any cables or mouse and remove any flash drives and DVDs. Leave your laptop bare.
